With Google OneBox for Enterprise, Oracle E-Business Suite customers are able to access key information from their human resource (HR), enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and supply chain management (SCM) applications. By leveraging Google's new application programming interface (API), Oracle enables users to request information directly through a search box-providing easy access to an abundance of business information.
Oracle E-Business Suiteを使っているユーザは、Google OneBox for Enterpriseを使って、人事(HR)、ERP(会計等)、CRM、SCMアプリケーションからキーとなる情報にアクセスできるようになります。Googleの新しいAPIを活用することで、膨大な情報に簡単にアクセスできるSearch Boxを通じて、ユーザーが直接情報を取ってくることをOracleは可能にしました。
"Enterprise applications house valuable content that HR, Finance and other professionals would like to search," said Oracle President, Charles Phillips. "It is not surprising that these enterprise users expect the same ease of use that they have become accustomed to on the Web." The natural affinity users have with keyword searching helps break through the high cost associated with learning and using applications. With search as the navigation approach, enterprise information can be more widely used.

Web 2.0ってB2Cだけかと思ったけど、こうやってGoogleの公開するAPIをMashupして、Enterprise領域でもWeb 2.0っぽくすることもできるんですね〜。*1
